Nueva Vida Norristown New Life (NVNNL) is an intercultural, multilingual, urban Mennonite church. God formed our congregation in 1990 through the joining together of three Mennonite congregations in Norristown—one Latino, one African American, and one Anglo and African American. The vision of God’s healing work of restoration, reconciliation, and transformation brought us together to become a living house of prayer for all peoples.
Statement of Faith
We believe that there is One God, eternal, existing in Three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, (Ephesians 4:4)- We believe the Holy Scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit for instruction and training in righteousness. (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16)
- We believe in Jesus Christ as the Word of God in human flesh and blood. We believe Jesus became Savior of the world, by humbling himself and being obedient unto death on the cross. In his death and resurrection, he broke the dominion of sin and reconciled us to God. He gives us new birth, transformation, and victory for eternal life. (Philippians 2:5-8; John 1:14)
- We believe Jesus laid the foundation of the One True Church. And Jesus when he ascended into heaven, he gave gifts to men and women to prepare God’s people for works of ministry and service. (1 Corinthians 3:11, 16-17; Ephesians 4:11-16).
The Calling of Norristown New Life is to be a diverse body of believers who:
Worship the Lord in unity (Ephesians 4:4-5)- Experience the transforming and gifting power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:1-2)
- Proclaim the Gospel of reconciliation through Jesus Christ in word and deed. (2 Corinthians 5:17-20)
Our spiritual journey as believers is to live in a daily loving relationship with our Creator, to follow and serve the living Jesus in love and obedience to his commands, and to produce the fruit of the Spirit in ministry in our world.
To do this, we covenant together to walk in the following spiritual disciplines or practices:
- Daily personal prayer (humility, obedience, listening, empowerment)
- Reading and study of the Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16)
- Regular worship participation in the community of faith (Hebrews 10:25)
- Tithing (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7)
- Respect and care for one another in spiritual shelters (Matthew 18:15-18; Galatians 6:2)
- Serving one another in one or more ministry groups (Galatians 5:13)
- Witnessing in word and deed —making new disciples (Matthew 28:19-20)
Nueva Vida Nueva Vida Norristown es una iglesia menonita, intercultural, urbana y multilingüe (en su mayoría Español-Inglés). Dios formo a nuestra congregación en 1990 con la unión de tres congregaciones menonitas en Norristown – una latina, afro-americana, y uno más anglo-europea. La visión de la obra sanadora de Dios en la restauración, la reconciliación y la transformación nos unió para ser en una casa viva de oración y alabanza para todos los grupos étnicos.

- Creemos que hay un Dios, eterno, existiendo en Tres Personas, Padre, Hijo, y Espíritu Santo. (Efesios 4: 4)

- Creemos que Jesús plantó la fundación de la Única Iglesia Verdadera. Y Jesús cuando el subió al cielo, nos dio dones a hombres y mujeres para preparar el pueblo de Dios para obras de ministerio y servicio. (1 Corintios 3: 11,16,17; Efesios 4: 11-16).
El Llamado de Nueva Vida Norristown es el de ser un cuerpo diverso de creyentes que:
- Adoran al Señor en unidad. (Efesios 4:4,5)
- Experimentan la transformación y los dones de poder del Espíritu Santo (Romanos 12: 1-2)
- Proclaman el Evangelio de reconciliación por medio de Jesucristo en palabra y acción. (2 Corintios 5: 17-20)
Nuestra Jornada Espiritual como creyentes es para vivir y caminar en una relación diaria de amor con nuestro Creador, para seguir y servir al Jesús Vivo en amor y obediencia a sus mandamientos, y para producir el fruto del Espíritu Santo en ministerio en nuestro mundo.
Para hacer esto hagamos un compromiso junto para caminar en las siguientes Disciplinas Espirituales o Actos:
- Oración Personal Diario (humildad, obediencia, escuchando, y llenos de poder
- Leyendo las Escrituras (2 Timoteo 3: 16)
- Participación Regular en el Servicio de Alabanza con la Comunidad de la Fe (Hebreos 10: 25)
- Diezmo (Malaquias 3: 10; 2 Corintios 9: 7)
- Respecto y Cuidado del uno al otro en Hogares de Refugio (Mateo 18: 15-18; Galatas 6: 2)
- Serviendo uno al otro en uno o mas grupos de ministerio. (Galatas 5: 13)
- Testificar en Palabra y Acción—Haced Discípulos Nuevos (Mateo 28: 19-20)
