In 1990 God called together three ethnically diverse, English and Spanish speaking Mennonite congregations in Norristown to be a diverse body of believers who worship the Lord in unity, experience the transforming and gifting power of the Holy Spirit, and proclaim the Gospel of reconciliation through Jesus Christ in Word and deed. For Nueva Vida Norristown New Life (NVNNL) Mennonite Church, Sunday is no longer the most segregated day of the week.

By God’s grace, NVNNL is entering a new time of faithful obedience, opportunity and expansion, from God’s Deuteronomy 28:1-14 vision, proclaimed to us two years earlier. We have expanded our outreach, invested in discipleship of youth and adults, and explored opportunities for community and economic development, being faithful stewards of the resources we had. Now God is generously opening His hand to expand this “house of prayer for all peoples” (Isaiah 56:7 and Mark 11:17)

We see God’s hand in this:

In December 2006, we paid off the mortgage on our church building and parsonage. A few weeks later, the adjacent office building at 25 E. Marshall Street became available and God made a way for us to acquire it in 2007. We are confident that God has “set before [us] an open door, which no one is able to shut.” (Rev 3:8)

By faith we are moving through this door, seeking God’s Kingdom purpose and priorities. We invite like-minded brothers and sisters, congregations, and other organizations to join us in a capital campaign to raise money to equip our congregation and our facilities for this Kingdom work. We believe that the blessing God has for all who engage in this work and for all who receive “new life” as a result of our faithfulness will far outweigh the cost!

Enlarging Our Place in God’s World Goal:
To raise at least $670,000 over the next three years,
with a longer range goal of $2,000,000.
